My all-time favourite destination is … Nepal. Sure, the mountains are the largest but so are the welcomes and the experiences, all the while providing a slightly more muted version of Subcontinental chaos.
Next on my bucket list is … Kyrgyzstan. I’ve visited almost every major mountain region in the world, but somehow the Tian Shan and Pamir ranges still fly under the radar, despite rising to more than 7000 metres.
My top travel tip is … rediscover your self-sufficiency. So many of our working lives are sedentary, so why not stretch things out when on the road? It’s as good for your mental health as physical.
