The world's best hotels list has been announced

Tripadvisor has ranked three regional Australian establishments among the world's top check-in addresses.

Some of the best hotels in the world need not necessarily be the most expensive, too. Don't take our word for that; just have a look at the 2023 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Hotel Awards by Tripadvisor, which has ranked three regional Australian establishments among the world's top check-in addresses.

Leading the charge is Yarra Gables in Healesville, Victoria, which has secured the third spot in the BnB category; Mount Lofty House in SA's Adelaide Hills has taken the 24th spot in the Small Hotels category; while Pinetrees Lodge on NSW's Lord Howe Island has been ranked 25th in the world when it comes to all-inclusive retreats.

And that's no mean feat, considering more than 1.5 million hotels are vying for these awards, which are determined based on the number and quantity of guest reviews and ratings over a 12-month period.
