If you're a fan of music festivals and have been thinking of embarking on a road trip, now would be the perfect time to start planning one. Caravanning Queensland has just announced a brand new festival that'll offer the best of both worlds: Australian rock and caravanning.

Aptly titled Van Jam, the event will take place from September 22-24 at Willowbank Raceway in Ipswich, less than an hour's drive south-west of the Brisbane CBD, and is expected to draw thousands of music and caravanning fans thanks to a stellar line-up of established Australian stars such as Daryl Braithwaite as well as upcoming artists.

And that's not all. A children's festival of arts, crafts and musical workshops called miniJAM will be held concurrently. Festival creator Jason Plant says Van Jam is a celebration of Australian music and its strong connection to millions of camping enthusiasts.
