Mercury is not the only thing rising in Melbourne as summer approaches. The Victorian capital's food scene is making headlines, too, starting with the goings-on at Queen Victoria Market. One of the city's most popular dining destinations - for both locals and visitors - the precinct is replacing its old food court with the brand-new Queen's Food Hall in November.

Some of Melbourne's most revered food and beverage haunts will have a presence here, with Bellboy Coffee Bar taking care of your caffeine cravings; The Happy Mexican delivering authentic burritos, nachos and quesadillas; and El Rincon satiating the crowds with mega platters of paella.
