Check in to the entry-level Studio Suite, which offers 76 square metres of real estate and features exquisite Balinese touches, including hand-carved teak bathtubs.

Or dial up the indulgence factor by booking one of the villas, all of which feature private pools. But if you don't end up with a pool of your own, the resort is home to six common swimming pools, surrounded by cabanas and sun loungers that'll send your social media channels into overdrive.

Work up an appetite at the onsite gym, then make your way to one of the hotel's many eating and drinking dens. Beach House is great for cocktails with views of the pool and the ocean beyond, while Taru is the spot for authentic local fare - from a rendang of braised short ribs to nasi goreng with ocean-fresh seafood.
